Architecture and Sustainable Design
The Practice has provided a full architectural and design service for almost two decades including new-build housing schemes, apartments developments, one-off housing, and a range of small to medium size commercial, tourism and leisure projects.
We have special expertise and experience on the restoration and refurbishment of older buildings having designed and overseen several restoration projects from thatched cottages, apartment complexes and holiday hostels.
In addition we provide consultancy and assessment in Sustainable-Design for domestic or commercial buildings, emphasizing passive design, super-insulation and the incorporation of energy efficiency, use of renewable technologies and ecologically sound building methods, construction materials and finishes. Building design could include solar panels, micro turbines, heat ventilation recovery, heatpumps, underfloor heating, wood and wood pellet boilers, reed bed systems amongst other renewable energy devices, as applicable and feasible for each particular project.
